The new Danish Sea War Museum in Thyborøn, Denmark.

The new museum, the brainchild of Gert Normann Andersen, is set for opening next week on September 16th after its official unveiling the night before.

HMS Iron Duke is installed in her new home, surrounded by artefacts from the Admiral and the ship. So many people helped in getting us to this stage. Thank you all. Maybe most to Ron Horabin who scratch modelled the Grand Fleet’s first flagship over three years before he sadly died of cancer. This one’s for you, Ron.

    It is great to see all your hard work come to fruition, Nick and the Iron Duke on display for people to to see. Dad would be proud.

    Nick, this looks really good and a worthy home for the wonderful model of HMS Iron Duke.

    Thanks Dave for the comments. But it really is Gert’s work and he is flat out till the opening wanting to make sure that this exhibition a real FIRST. It will be. I hope the ESC group enjoyed your speech. You will have to visit this. It’s stupendous. Nick
