Fired 8 main gun salvoes at SMS Wiesbaden while passing at 18:32. Secondary fire was used ro drive off the G.42 which had been sent by Hipper to take Wiesbaden's crew off. 19:15 fired two salvoes and hit Derfflinger once, the shell landing in the sick bay.She avoided torpedoes fired at her by 30 yards in front and 10 behind.
